Songwriting Workshop

The Yellow Pine Songwriters workshop, held at 6:00 pm on Thursday August 1, 2024, will be led by Gordon Hamilton from The River Twice.  Gordon is a performer and amateur songwriter and is a board member and past President of the Idaho Songwriters Association.  He has written dozens of songs including a few that he’s proud of.   He has attended songwriting camps in Utah and California and organized workshops in Idaho.   This two-hour workshop will touch on basic song forms, hooks, and melody.  We will do some object writing and we’ll map out a song.  It’s going to be a fun and creative way to kick off this year’s festival.
